How to Build Shoulder Muscles

It is the dream of every man to have broad shoulders. For few broad shoulders are obtained genetically. For others they need to put their efforts to build it. Learning how to build shoulder muscle is easy. The toughest part is to perform them. To build a good shoulder muscles you have to give it importance like the other muscles.

The exercise that builds shoulder muscles are front press, rear press, seated dumbbell press, dumbbell flies front and dumbbell flies back. Deltoid is the muscle group that gives the shoulder muscle a tapered shape. Care has to be taken care while during shoulder exercises because the joints of shoulder get dislocated if exercise are not done properly.

Front press and back press can be done using barbell or in smith machine. Front press is performed by holding the barbell shoulder width. Lower the barbell by contracting the shoulder muscle till the biceps becomes parallel to the ground. Inhale in this process. Exhale in and lift the barbell to the starting position. This work out will focus on the front deltoids.

Rear press – this is performed by holding the barbell in extreme ends with the inner weight bands. Lower the barbell behind the neck till the biceps becomes parallel to the ground, inhaling during this process. Exhale and lift the barbell to the starting position.

Seated dumbbell press concentrates on the deltoids. It is performed by seating on a bench holding 2 dumbbells above the head. Move the dumbbells towards the side keeping the forearm straight till the biceps becomes parallel to the ground. Inhale in this process. Exhale and move to the starting position slowly.

Dumbbell flies front and side are done to tight the shoulder muscle and it’s done at the end of the workout. Care must be taken while performing this exercise so that neck won’t get sprained. Add shoulder workout to the routine and lets others envy seeing your broad shoulders.
